Firestone Plymouth

Providing supported accommodation for addicts seeking to maintain abstinence-based recovery

We provide supported accommodation for addicts seeking to maintain abstinence-based recovery using mutual aid fellowships. We provide support and housing management with skilled and experienced staff. Our residents attend meetings of local mutual aid fellowships and are responsible for working their own recovery programme. Our residents make a conscious decision to engage in the concept of a Mutual Aid Community within the project. The maximum length of stay at the project is 2 years. We encourage residents to use this time to lay a solid foundation for on-going recovery.

We have two houses – a women only house and a men only house. We have a
strict rule about the need for abstinence and encourage a culture of self-responsibility. The houses provide a safe environment for like-minded people to actively engage in fostering and maintaining a culture of recovery.

Our accommodation is of a very high standard because we believe our clients are worth it.

We are a not for profit Community Interest Company.

How we can help

Firestone Plymouth offers staffed accommodation providing a safe environment for people to engage with 12 step recovery. We believe the best
way to understand the recovery process is to be surrounded by likeminded
individuals already embarked on the recovery journey. Firestone schedules a
morning check in meeting, starting at 08:30 Monday to Friday and weekly 1:1
sessions for residents to discuss any difficulties or blocks to progress.

Our commitment

At Firestone Plymouth, client safety is our top priority. This is ensured by
intensive house management and regular 1-1 sessions. Making sure that
residents engage with the recovery process helps to ensure the house is a
friendly, warm environment. We feel the best way to help those struggling to
find balance and peace of mind is to manage the house with firmness and
compassion. We believe everyone deserves a chance at recovery and believe
everyone has the ability to recover. We believe that a recovery journey helps
people to live a life free from active addiction and allows individuals to build
the positive relationships with, family or friends and the wider community which they might not have had before.
